Five Years and Counting

Tomorrow will be our five year anniversary. Last night Will and I couldn't stop laughing because we were in shock that it has already been five years. It hasn't been a walk in the park, but all things considered, we have a very strong marriage and relationship.

In honor of this day, I thought I would share with you the things about my husband that make him so very special to me–the things that make me fall in love with him more each day. Since it’s been five years, I’ll give you the top 50 :(although I could go on and on)

1. His ability to manage and motivate people

2. His strong work ethic and his commitment to doing the best job he can do at work and in church callings

3. That he flies by the seat of his pants and offsets the planner in me perfectly

4. That he brings me flowers for big occasions

5. That sometimes he brings me flowers for no reason at all

6. That he watches Dr. Phil with me and doesn't complain

7. His ability to learn new things quickly

8. That he sings at night for me when I ask

9. The way he dances with me

10. When he plans special father-son weekends

11. The way he can trick me into believing anything! (in my defence, I'm very gullible)

12. The way he looks in his uniform

13. That he ends every cell phone call with "I love you."

14. That he says to me, EVERYDAY, “You are a beautiful,” and he really thinks so

15. His desire to constantly keep improving himself

16. His sense of humor

17. That I'm his best friend. He would rather spend time with me than go out with the guys.

18. When he gets home from a 12 hour day and still gets on the ground to play with the kids.

19. When he says, "Oh, I'm cooking dinner tonight."

20. That he cleans up the kitchen every night

21. That he likes when I get out of the house with my friends because he knows I need it sometimes.

22. The way he rubs my hair and back and feet and legs and shoulders........

23. That when I had Hunter and Austin he slept on a plastic, uncomfortable chair at the hospital because I didn't want him to leave me

24. That he puts up with my cleaning "standards"... AKA O.C.D

25. That he hates doing laundry, but does it sometimes anyways

26. That he is athletic and wants to stay healthy and in shape

27. That he doesn't make fun of me when I eat oatmeal for every meal of the day

28. That he holds my hair back when I'm pregnant and throwing up (gross sorry!)

29. That he knows I'm terrified of being stolen, so he watches me out the window if I'm outside and its dark

30. That he wants me to stay at home with the kids and not work

31. The way he looks at our boys, and I know he is head over heels for them

32. That hardly anything gets him down

33. Because he is a worthy priesthood holder

34. Because he loves his job

35. That he puts up with me when I'm stressed

36. That he likes going grocery shopping with me

37. That he trusts me to cut his hair every weekend, even after I messed it up....more than once

38. He makes really good chicken noodle soup

39. That he doesn't snore

40. He tells me he loves me several times a day

41. That he gives service with no complaint...He loves to serve others

42. He loves my family and he loves his family

43. He can't keep a surprise secret

44. because he is an amazing father

45. Because he always puts the seat down

46. That we are sealed for time and all eternity

47. He writes me poetry now and then

48. He loves me for who I am and he wouldn't change a thing

49. He totally gets my jokes...no one else does

50. Because he is my best friend and I'm his

Will has something planned for tomorrow night. It's a surprise(even though he is dying to tell me what it is!) so I'll post again and tell you what we did!
