Hunter's First Day of Kindergarten

This morning I dropped Hunter off for his first day of Kindergarten. I have to say it was harder for me than I thought it would be. Hunter was really excited, so excited that he got up at 5 this morning! Hunter's teacher, Mrs. Black, is really nice and I'm sure Hunter is going to have a great year.

After I dropped Hunter off, my friend Nicole and I headed to the "Boo-Hoo, Wah-Hoo" breakfast where they had tissues for the teary, and party hats for the cheery! I have to admit I was using both.

That's funny his teacher's name is Mrs.Black, because Alexa's teacher's name is Mrs. White.

Oh Abbey, This breaks my heart as well. Our little Hunterman growing up so fast. I am like you, I don't want him to get older. I want him to stay young, adorable and innocent. He will always be our Hunterman no matter how old he is. We love you Hunter and I'm glad you like school.

Well, you have taken the first step. I remember my first, taking him to kindergarten, he was so excited but still a little shy about it. DD was the one I cried over, she sat in her seat and was bouncing from the excitement. Bug's first day was awesome, it was half-day and we were allowed to stay with them the whole time. I think if it was just a drop off thing, I would have gone home and just bawled.

Welcome to the next step of raising your kids.

I can't believe Hunter is in Kindergarten! I am glad you used both party hat & tissue at your breakfast. I cried harder when Sawyer went to K-garten cos I knew it was my last one. I am glad you like his teacher!! How are you liking "Austin time"??

Good for you Hunter! Have a great school year. It seem like just a few weeks ago when we were doing nursery together.
