November 12th, 2011: I was telling Hunter something today and Hunter said to me, "Well that's your opinion Mom." Austin then said, "Mom! Hunter just called you a Pinion!" November 10th, 2011: On the way to preschool this morning Austin's friend asked what his dad's name was. Austin said, "Will, like Shamu" (took me a while to realize Will and Whale sound similar)
August 2011:
Hunter and Austin's conversation at the dinner table.
Hunter, "I wish I was RICH!"
Austin, "You mean Richard?"
Richard is their Uncle
January 2011:
I let Austin pick a song for me to sing him to sleep by. He usually chooses "Baby Baluga" or "Rockabye Baby". For about a year now he thinks it's, "Rockabye baby in the tree Thomas"
November 2010:
While skyping with my parents Hunter was showing them all of his oragami and paper air planes he has been making. He was going through all of his air planes and naming them. "This one is "The Dart", this one is "The Arrow", this one is "Faster than Hell." Nice one Hunter. And this is why you aren't allowed on YouTube by yourself :)
October 21st, 2010:
Austin: "My posquito bites are itching!"
August 2nd, 2010:
Visiting family in WA. The boys were going non-stop and my mom said, "Boys, give your mom a minute to breathe!" Austin came in the room I was in and said, "Breathe, mom, Breathe!"

Austin talking to Hunter:
"Oh my JOSH Hunter!"
December 27th, 2009:

Hunter has been noticing a lot of things are made in China. Today he said, "Mom, my squirt gun was made in China too. Man those China guys are pretty cool!"
May 8th, 2009: Hunter has been collecting rocks every since his school did a rock study. He would come home with rocks in his pocket everyday from the playground. I finally had to ask him to stop bringing them home. (we have a huge pile of rocks in our garage and I keep washing them in the washing machine when they get left in his pocket) Today Hunter came home from school and took a rock out and looked at me with surprised eyes and said, "Oh! I guess this rock got in my pocket somehow! Huh!"
November 4th, 2008:
Hunter and I were saying things we were grateful for on the way to school.
Me: "I'm gratetful for fast food"
Hunter: "I'm grateful for slow food......Mom, you don't cook very fast"
November 2nd 2008:
Hunter: "Mom, I know where my joy sticks are!"
Me: "Where?" (confused)
Hunter: "right here" (pointing to his knees and elbows)
Me: "Huh?"
Hunter: "right here, where I bend" (Joints)
September 24th 2008:
After school, the teachers walk the kids to their parents' car. Mrs. Black told me that on the way to take Hunter to ours he said, "This is the best part of my day...seeing my mom"
Talk about melting a mom's heart!
September 12th, 2008:
Will picked Hunter up from school today. It was the first time Mrs. Black (Hunter's teacher) met Will. Hunter said to Mrs. Black, "There's my dad! He's handsom, huh? He's handsom just like me, huh?"
August 19th, 2008: Hunter wanted to surprise me with something so he told me to close my eyes. Then he said, "don't forget to close your eyes in the back!"
He thinks all moms have eyes in the back of their head.

I was telling Hunter that sometimes we don't do things, even if other people do them. I asked him "If your friends jumped off a cliff would you jump too?" Hunter said, "Well, I would need a parachute"

June 2nd, 2008:
I asked Hunter to go get Austin's white undershirt and he said no. I said, "Please go get it...pretty please with sugar and a cherry on top!" He excitedly said, "ok!" He then came back with the white shirt and said with disappointment, "here's Austin's shirt, but I couldn't find the sugar and cherry."

Today I'm packing for our two week trip to WA. Hunter wants to pack pretty much everything, but I keep reminding him we will be back in two weeks so we don't need to pack everything! Later, Hunter comes in my room and reminds me that I need to pack my dresser.
March 6th, 2008:
Hunter: "Oh how cute!" Then he screams frantically and runs away.
Mom: Wondering why Hunter screamed I went to where he was and found a spider, so I got it. "The spider is gone Hunter."
Hunter: "At first I thought it was a cute lil' fuzzy with legs!"

March 5th, 2008:
Hunter is really into drawing pictures of our family. In this particular picture I looked...scary to say the least. He told me this is what I look like when I get up in the morning.
I am a very happy person who is blessed with wonderful family and friends. I enjoy photography, reading, staying in shape, and spending time with family and friends. I like to eat heathy, but gaining control of my sweet tooth is a losing battle. I love staying at home with our kids, Hunter (8),Austin (4), and Maci(1). That's pretty much me in a nutshell.
